E202 is a no code error, it only shows up in service mode , never on the display.
This happens when the machine has scanner problems
1 copyboard is loose---there is a switch in the left rear corner.
    2 bad home position sensor
    3 bad scanner motor
    4 reader controller problems

    Dear vigour

Thank you very much for your reply.
I couldn't find the switch you mean on the copyboard, can you point it at attachment picture?.

    Also, did you mean by # 2,3, and 4 that I should replace ( PS1 ), ( M5 ), and PCB ?

    Regards.

        Re: UPGRADING Canon IR105

        Hi,

since you don't seem to be a canon's field technician my first advice is to call a good assistance at your area.

if not possible or too expensive i'd advice you that solving feeding paper jam at IR105 demands knowledge. first, your problem is most caused by paper trays jams, they are not in reverse system but in tray feeding system the most comon cause are rolls, clutchs or sensors. the fault at transfer or detack corona might be also a paper jam cause but in your case it's not the main cause.

since you have many causes for tray feeding jams you can start by the feed rolls, usually retard rolls cause problems (replace and adjust it and replace all feed rolls at the same time, try other tray) the problem is that if it doesn't solve the problem you will need patience to find it
if it's not a rolls' problem it'd be a tray clutch problem or a miss paper guide or a dirty sensor or damaged actuator (IR105 has many sensor actuators at paper path) look for registry problems, IR105 has a register clutch and a brake that can hold or retard paper.

once again, it's very tricky to solve paper jam at IR105, call a good technician
