    imageRUNNER C1030if: NI-MH battery problem?

we looked at 1 of these machines today that was turning off & on. I think it kept trying to initialize.

we disconnected a battery and it stopped doing that but not everything would work after that I think (2nd hand info, I have to check with our tech who looked at it to see what it did for sure)

what the battery cause that initializing problem if it was too weak?

    thanks.

Connector J8124=Secondary battery for memory backup.

Try Setting all WSD Print settings to "OFF"

Our guy went back over there and checked those settings. He said they were already set to off. I think he also accessed the service mode- can't say if he did anything or than that for sure...moved the machine to another spot in the office and plugged in to a different network jack. Started working. Maybe it was getting some strange electrical interference.

Plug a laptop into that Jack & see if same symptom happens.

What voltage is on the line? What is the ground to neutral reading?

Has anyone considered replacing the $5 battery? I'd be curious to see if it helped. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
            1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
            2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
            3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
            4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
            5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
