Hello,

I have canon ir3170 need to replace transfer belt but i found hard to take off the transfer belt assembly out from the machine.
kindly help me by show me steps how to take off the transfer belt assembly out from the machine.

Wow not worked on this series for a while, this is not an easy job, if you're not a trained tech don't attempt it! once you have the ITB unit out you then need to remove the old belt & fit the new belt to the old ITB unit.

First you need to remove the internal finisher if it has one.

Going from memory this is a list of parts you need to remove in order to get the ITB out!

Right hand door, fuser unit, top exit cover, drum, metal plate above the itb cleaning unit, itb cleaning unit, white fan duct (above itb)

Then the ITB is held in by 6 screws!
