    [Misc] IPF750 Consumable Yields

    Hi All,

Please could someone help me out with a consumables yields list or info for an IPF750

I need to know what life i will get out of a print-head and a Maintenance cartridge and cartridges.

    Thanks in advance,

    Cheers....

I can't imagine how you would figure yields. There are just too many variables. Image density and of which colors, paper width, ...

Perhaps you could base it by averaging on ft2 or m2, but it would be a very broad range. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Yields rated from 5-7% on an 8.5 by 11 sheet. From there, it can go anywhere. Good Luck.

          Paper (and other media)-
Be sure you get “ink jet” paper so that the substrate will have the proper coating to accept the ink droplets.

Ink tanks-Besides paper, ink will be the most common consumable that you will change.
          The iPF750 utilizes 130ml tanks.
The rate of consumption is directly proportional to the type of printing that you do.
So, you will get better yields from the ink tanks if you are just printing lines than if you are printing full color prints.

          Print Head
          -
The iPF750 utilizes only one, long wearing, print head.
This is a resilient piece of gear. In fact, out of the box, Canon offers a 1-year warranty on the print head to coincide with the plotter hardware warranty.
But, just like brakes on your car, print heads will eventually fail and need to be replaced. Under normal use, this could happen every 1-3 years.

          Maintenance Cassette
To keep the print head healthy, the iPF750 will occasionally run cleaning cycles on itself.
The maintenance cassette is the assembly that the print head uses to spit excess ink into when undergoing these cleaning cycles.
Over time, the cassette will become full and need to be replaced.
Page yield which is an average based either on the industry standard of 5% coverage or through the specific manufacturer testing methodology and continuous printing; actual yield varies considerably based on the content of printed pages and other factors.

          Cutter Blade
This is a circular “pizza wheel” knife blade that trims the print once the job is finished.
After a long period of use, the blade can become dull and need replacement.

            Hi Guys,

Thanks for the feedback, i figured it would be hard to get as said above there are way to many variables.

On another note, we had a chat with a rep from Oce yesterday, and we asked if they had as many issues with plotters as we did, and we were told that a lot of the issues with these machines is related to power problems and that he recommends that all devices be put on a ups, and also that most of these problematic errors that come up, usually relate to some fault within the main controller.

Not sure how that helps with the cost of repairs but there you have it....

            Have a good one guys,

              Note:

UPS boxes can sometime cause erratic error codes (false) if not connected to a dedicated power line outlet ( only thing using this line ) little expensive to install, we require all imagePress ,Advanced & LFP products that are purchased for contracts that are all inclusive (includes all boards) have a dedicated power line outlet/outlets. If refused, they can go find another sales company.
