canon NP 6030 thermostat

Canon copier giving error code E004. I have replaced a new thrmostat and reset the copier and it is working.
Can anyone tell me is it possible to reset the thermostat that has switch off.

Put it into the fridge for 30 minutes then hit against the ground.
