    1025iF TX but no RX

New machine tested good at setup. Took to customer, plugged up in the place of a working Canon 400 with fax. 1 hour with Canon Tech Support no help. Have tried turning off ECM, changing baud rate, etc. The machine connects but seems to fail during handshake. Trying to convince customer the line is bad but not getting anywhere. I checked old machine settings and everything is default. Drove 1025 back to office test bench and it works fine. Returning in the morning and any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Slow TX speed to 14.4.kbs.
If memory serves me right, that was the fastest speed @ the time.
Also play with attenuation or equalizer. A higher negative number is stronger signal power.
When receiving, the receiver is the slave and does what the master tells it to do.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

when you plug the fax line in .. try ringing the fax number and see if the machine answers
