    C5045

A TECh before me replaced the fuser film assembly and customer called back for jamming.when I got there the pressure felt tight so I adjusted the NIP.I can get 1 through the fuser and nothing moreit jams in the NIP of the roller and film. I checked the jam counts and I have a lot 0107 & 0109 jams. I tried from every tray and same thing. Ideas Appreciated

When you open the right door and open the fuser guide the darker curved side of the separation guide should be facing you and the small holes should be facing the bottom.

Fixing separation guide, FC8-5043-020, probably not transferred from the old assembly to the new one.

Usually, the two leaf springs, Item 5, FC6-9471-000, are missing as well.

When re-assembling the upper fixing belt assembly it is possible to install the separation guide plate incorrectly.
When installed properly there should be .5mm or less gap, it should not touch the belts surface, between the separation plate and the fixing belt. If installed incorrectly the gap between the fixing belt and the separation plate would be much larger, approximately 1 to 2 mm.

You should never need to adjust NIP pressure if you do you're only compensating for worn pressure roller, bushings or bearings, ajusting NIP can create problems later on!
