Jam 01 00 48 on irac2020's ADF

When customer uses single sheet - it runs smoothly.

When customer uses 2 or more sheets on the ADF of the irac2020 it pops up the jam code 010048 (pointing to SR3 sensor) ?

When customer uses double sided option - it runs smoothly. How come ?

Firmware ? Or some bent plastic ?

Haven't seen the copier yet, but I want to be quick in and out.

Looks like it is not going to be a quick one.

Was at the customer today and checked the mechanical part. Everything is fine.

If you only SCAN the sheets - No Problem.
If you want to COPY the sheets - than it pops up the jam code.

I am starting to believe the problem is not in the ADF itself.

The machine has an internal finisher. Could it be causing it ?

Any ideas ?

Jam 0048 shows in the inner finisher delivery reversal sensor SR3 in the service manual. I have seen paper get caught up in that area but don't remember the jam code.

I reread it carefully. If you copy with adf and shows that jam code I would start looking there. I have replaced those sensors before. They are the funky old cheap style I think. If you don't use the ADF and no jam code seems like a very strange problem. Sorry I am of no help.

You are missing the point !

When I scan to email or USB or FTP : The process is fine. No jam codes.

Only when I have to COPY - than the Jam happens

Oops. Sorry. The jam code in my manual had the finisher on the same page and I did not notice. Maybe I need to update my manual. I was looking at the 2020 service manual. Dang!!! I had rev 4. The new one was rev 9. The stupid thing showed the jam codes for the adf for the finisher. I am going to keep it because no one would believe me if I didn't! Thanks. I may have used this to troubleshoot a machine!!!
