    Email problem

I installed an ImagePass B-1 on a IRADVC5051 and for some reason with proper email settings

it will no send. I tried changing the smtp server setting to an actual IP address and no luck.

It gives error code #752 indicating there is a server problem. Using the letter address for the server

it gives erro code #802. Is there a setting I need to change when using the ImagePass?

I tried pinging the email server from the copier and it says No Good.

    Re: Email problem

The ping is not necessarily a reliable test in this case. Certain email servers are set not to respond to pings. I had one customer that was large enough to use 4 email servers. Using the hostname allowed the next available server to handle the transaction. When I pinged the hostname I could get one of four possible IP addresses.

Oh, here's another thing. This same customer's email servers were set up to only accept transactions from a specific list of senders. So if I set up a new device, even if the email credentials were all correct, the server still would not receive until the sender was added to the white list. I'm not sure if that was an IP address, a MAC address, a login, or something else (above my pay scale).

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thanks...I hadn't reset the gateway when I added the Imagepass.
Had forgotten I needed to do that. It's all good now.
