Have a customer looking to replace their HP Z9 with this model Epson.
Anyone have any feedback on this model, good, bad or somewhere in between?

      Thanks for looking.

The official website has only User Manual.
And no Tool for resetting the Wast Ink Pad (this is NOT the Epson Maintenance-Tank).
The only tool i found doesn't support the SC-P700.

This is a DSV DTF printer which I believe is the same as an L1800. Originally it was printing blank. The print head has dried white ink but the other colors were coming out so I should have gotten some kind of image. I replaced the capping station, and now I get the flashing light error. It came to ready before I started. I found the utility to reset the waste ink count and check its status. Resetting the count didn't change anything. The error codes said OH H, 01 H, 0A H, and 52 H. They appear to indicate a paper jam or obstructed carriage movement. There is no paper stuck and the carriage moves back and forth until it errors out. The encoder strip is clean and I have seated and reseated the connections and ribbon cables. This was a walk in printer and I have little to no familiarity with this model other then what's similar to other models.
I would be appreciative if anyone could shed anymore light on the situation. Thank you.

Does anyone know where I can get a parts guide and parts for this machine. All I need is Tray 1 feed rollers and length paper guide. The guide is broken so the paper slides away from the paper feed rollers.
                    Thanks

Re: Epson ET-8500 - Color quality terrible out of box

I know this thread is old... But I just have to let you and others know that this series is modeled after a business grade machine, and even the business grade Epson MFP's have weak color quality. They're meant for text and small logos on paper, definitely NOT beautiful images.

I would argue that we were stunned by the difference in print quality with their Epson photo or Epson mat paper instead of the standard (but high quality) Navigator 80g (recommended by almost all brand in France at least).

Good evening gents, recently got myself a second hand Epson SC T5200, with a low total volume of under 5500m2 printed in total. I have started to run into more issues like the Matt Black and Photo Black drying up from the bottom side of the print head when machine is not in use, judging from the nozzle checks. Upon cleaning the printhead manually (used IPA and paper towels to clean up gunk from underneath it) and next nozzle check came out nearly perfect.

Another issues print not aligning, did it as soon as I powered it on too, sides of prints just don't line up, despite doing the automatic head calibration and it turning out absolutely spotless, no missed bits, nothing. On top of that I have started to get a dark line where the printhead overlaps with the previous pass, I have done the paper advancing calibration but the line stayed there all the way from -. 25 to +.25, here it's slightly less visible but still there. And if that wasn't enough I have also started to get a white line that starts again around -. 25, is more visible at 0, bit less at around +. 17 and is back to being nearly fully visible at +. 25.

All of those issues were present since the first print I have done on it, cleaning the head manually without taking it out helped to get rid of that old ink gunk and smears only.

I feal like I have to get the printhead off and manually clean properly it and soak the bottom of it and give the cleaning station a good clean aswell.

On top of all that the nozzle check started showing bits of cyan and Magenta not being where they should be, ie either below or above the space where it should be to form a straight line in the nozzle check.
I do plan to sell it but wanted to ask is this common with Epson machines?

I recently got rid of a HP Designjet 4000, I could have left the machine not used for a week, comeback, printout a diagnostic check and it was either perfect or 99% there.

Where as with this Epson SureColor machine it's nothing more than issues. I have colourbest inks that I do plan to put into it if it runs out of OEM stuff, also will send more pictures tommorrow, I put up the nozzle check and one of the images I printed out, for today I'm just too fucking tired with this pile of crap.
