    Contact for feature requests?

Anyone have a good contact at Epson to request features, setting additions, etc for the WF-C21000/579R/879R or AM-C series? There's a few things that our customers would love as options, but nobody at Epson is responding to emails. It feels as if they've never used a different manufacturer's MFP in the last 10 years because there are a few things that would be simple changes that just make sense.

Being able to have the file name/subject option added to the main screen of scanning would be clutch for our customers that scan a ton. We have the ability to adjust the Copy screen options, why can't we adjust the Scan/Fax screen options?

Adding a space within a filename (been told it may just be a restriction due to it being Linux based)

When copying something on the glass that is smaller than Letter/A4, most other machines in the world will just automatically output it on letter/a4 anyway. We have to setup a preset for it on every machine.

ERS needs a TON of useful features added to it. Hasn't changed in the 2 years we've utilized it.

I just complain to my commercial rep and technical rep at every opportunity.
And now we have EPA Serverless and the AM-M5500, you can thank me !
The next topic is the display of USB flash drives by folder rather than in bulk, and apparently a lot of dealers complain about it.

I'm pretty sure ERS is a licensed version of Kyo KFS, it seems that we only have a reduced version of the product and that the manufacturer has access to many more options (my tech rep showed me his interface, which is different from ours).

Just saw the Copy screen options, in french it's "Modifier la copie d'écran", "Change the screenshot" instead of "Modifier l'écran du menu copie"

"Adding a space within a filename"
You want trouble ? YOU WANT TROUBLE ?
    Praise our overlord underscore_

Huh ? I have the same problem with Sharp and Canon, I just ask customers to cover with a blank paper.

Yes, I agree, USB showing that way is quite annoying, but thankfully we hardly have anyone using it, so no biggie for us. Techs use it to print test pages out, so it's more so us that get annoyed by it.

EPA Serverless has been a thing for a little bit, and I do enjoy it, though the features of it really should be built in, because the native "Access Control" is useless without being able to have a user auto-login like on Sharp.

On almost any Sharp or regular size Kyocera, it would just copy the original and by default throw it on Letter size paper. Not a huge thing, but would be nice to have a setting you could toggle that would also solve the issue, so you didn't have to have someone put a piece of paper down. Here in the US, people hate wasting time when work needs done, so they hate having to change what they're doing to make things work. It's sad, really.

Also, we probably won't ever purchase a 5500, mostly because we get amazing deals on the 4000's. Our sales team ends up selling color machines in place of B/W because we can still make a little money on the color counts for the little that they'll end up doing. I hate it, but I don't make the rules here.

With KFS, there is so much in there that you can do, though I wish there were more. We have a school that has 9 M/C21000's, 12 579's, and it would be really nice to be able to pull a maintenance report from all of them, so in the summer when we go out to do a courtesy checkup on all of their machines before school starts again, we have a simple list that shows us what needs replaced so we can order it ahead of time and make one trip. Also to be able to backup machines remotely would be super helpful. If we could backup address books remotely on those machines, just in case anything happened(Sharp kinda scars us with HDD's failing), we would be able to get them running a lot quicker in case of an emergency.

Plus I haven't heard anything regarding OAuth 2.0 support, and it would be nice to at least have a timetable to give IT guys who want to know.

Unrelated question, any idea if there is another series coming out to replace the 21000 series machines? I know they've been out for 4 or 5 years. We don't sell them much, but in the chance we do, just curiosity.

I agree but it's dirt cheap and the standard EPA is much better and also dirt cheap.

I'm gonna try next week, but I'm pretty sure that the copier will complain if it does not detect an A4 on the glass.

The problem is school, they want mono for teachers, and that's it. No color at all.

I can't find the notes but it's soon

No info at all, but IMO they won't replace them soon, they fixed almost everything for this series, and they have no complain from dealers and users.
We'll probably have a screen refresh, like the RIPS series, and that's it.

What I do love though is the reliability, especially in the AM-C A3 machines. Hardly any issues, and most are customer training. I personally don't care for the overall design of the WF-C21000 series due to the amount of hidden sensors, how difficult they are to get to simple sensors, but also how much paper dust gets accumulated in those machines. I love how the paper moves through the machines, but we believe those metal star rings are too abrasive and are causing the paper dust issues on that series especially.

If they could make the AM-c4000 style, maybe just a little wider so the "C" path could happen, rather than the "S" path, it would be golden. That being said, the interface on the 21000 could be much nicer if it looked like the 4000 screen.
