Epson 100016 scanner error on C5790

Hello we have been seeing quite a few 100016 scanner errors on the Epson C5790. Has anyone found a solution? We have over a 1,000 of these out and up to this point most had been under warranty but we have seen enough of this error that we would to find a solution.
Documentation is saying scanner assembly or main PCB. We did change scanner one on unit but it did not solve the issue.

I've had a couple of them so far with the same error (Epson's known issue), take it to Epson centre, in my case they replaced both parts under warranty , scanner assembly and main board.

Thanks, I will reach out to Epson and see what they have to say. I replaced a few under warranty but not out of warranty yet. Always whole unit replacements.

worth a try as mine were also out of warranty
