[Jamming] Bizhub C284e J1001 code, bypass jam when run out of paper/no paper

This is my first post, and was wondering if anyone has came across this issue before:


basically ive got a 3 week old machine and when you put paper in the bypass, it will print from it fine, then it will take the last sheet then throw up a jam code 1001 - where it should just tell me to load more paper!!

if I try and print/copy from the bypass and there is no paper it will throw up the 1001 code straight away!

it doesn't matter what type of paper I use, I've tried A4 standard paper, a4 letterhead, various weights with no difference.

Anyone experienced anything like this? Machine has the latest firmware

Is the bypass paper empty sensor functional? I'm guessing not. =^..^=
