The codes are CD010, CD011, CD050, and CFA14. Also you might experience spontaneous rebooting of the MFP, several times a day.

There is a firmware update to the SATA Controller that resolves this. The way the bulletin reads, if you have no symptoms yet, load Preventative Firmware version GXX-B0. If you have symptoms, load Recovery Tool GXX-A8. Both update the SATA controller firmware to version G00-04.

If you cannot enter firmware uploading mode, or your MFP reboots spontaneously, you may have:
    1) Poor HDD ground (its just a wimpy leaf spring on one of the HDD shoulder screws).
    2) Re-seat MFPB connectors.
    3) Replace MFPB.
    4) Replace HDD.
I reformed the HDD ground so I had better spring pressure. It would be simple to add a ground wire too. I also reseated the MFPB connectors. After that the machine entered firmware upload mode, and took the Recovery Tool GXX-A8.

    Enjoy! =^..^=
    Hi all

For how long you have those 2 fins? Don't wait for the Dutch, he ain't helping much.

When formating the stick do you name the stick ABC or something?
I am now formating sticks only on powered USB ports and using Windows Format and Partition utility
      FAT 32
I used 2GB cheap and 4GB Verbatim without issue.(and trust me I have almost chucke these sticks until I had some drivers updated on my VM machine)
Had also issue on Desktop PC one of the USB ports joint with card readers just wouldn't format the stick correctly, i could copy and start loading firmware but it often came with certain parts of firmware as NG.

      Hope this helps.
.OK Google! ... will I need Berrocca this morning?

You replaced an MFPB? Then you replaced the HDD? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

If you are using the recovery tool set HHD=unset in service mode and detach the HDD first.

Seemed to be my 3 usb flash drives as mentioned earlier in this thread.
Got a new 8 gig one and was able to do the sata recovery with out any issues on two machines.

I have all three codes also "an internal error has occurred system will reboot" appears daily if not more . I have a MFP pwb and a hard drive to replace. Is there anything I have to know about installing these things
I couldn't find a procedure in the service manual .
