Yeah I thought it should be pretty straight forward. Loaded the disk shows a penguin or something with a pdf ext. click on that and it just hangs up on acrobat for a while. when I cold boot with it in it really doesn't do anything. As much as I hate to I think Ime going to do a re-install. Is there a file I can look in to see if a image copy is on the hard drive that you know of?
You will spend more time trying to diagnose than a reflash.
Best bet just run the 2 disks should take less tham an hour then 10 min configuring the network and settings.
I just dont want to see you put a bandaid on a broken arm.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
The medication helps though...
I agree! I'm going to replace the hd in the morning, I think it might be bad. Also found dvd unit isn't reading good, that's why I couldn't run the diagnostics. Just waiting to see what I run into next. thanks for the software and input. I'll put a final post tomorrow.
If your in a pinch for system software, you should be able to find the setup.exe file on the HDD and reinstall the fiery.exe program. I've done it on a IC-413 (C7000) and it got me up and running when I didn't system software available. You'd lose any held jobs, spot colors, and such but it'll keep some information like the IP address.
Food for thought.
NOTES ON HOW TO USE THE FAX MACHINE.
1. Get into your DeLorean (or your TARDIS) and go back to 1990.
2. Place papers in the machine - Face Down.
3. DO NOT dial 9
4. Rejoin the rest of modern civilization.
This one is officially put to bed. Did the software install, pretty painless. loaded cw5 and all is well. The underlying problem was a software glitch on e: drive partition. I thought I might have had a bad hd because it wouldn't let me do complete diag or pull certain e drive files. We changed vid i/f card and cable, popped rams in and out, but put all original back - then I had the "GREAT EPIPHANY" - GO AHEAD AND INSTALL THE G0&^*&MN software and quit being stubborn, as Synthohol suggested. In the future my suggestion to all is check your i/f cable first then just do the reinstall, may save you a lot of time and gray hair Thanks for the help SYNTH!
What version do you have? I have 3.0 and 2.1 on my home server.
I can give you a link if you want to download and burn.
hello bro
I am also your colleague from Iran
Unfortunately, as a result of the accident, all the operating systems that I had for work were destroyed, and now I am looking to re-create them.
You may also want to give me a link to download
