Konica Minolta FS527 Finisher Staple Problem

I have a client with a FS527 on a C552. The finisher does not staple on the left corner. It will staple right side and double staple for a booklet. He sent me a video of the problem. Looks like to me something is binding the staple head. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you, Johva.

in the belt path there are 2 sensors for positioning, i think there is a 3rd for corner staple position, the little "shimmy" the stapler gave seems like it didnt activate the corner sensor.
thats what it looks like to me.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
    The medication helps though...

I'd be really surprised if this hasn't thrown a code. Looks like the stapler movement motor is continuing to drive to that end, failing to recognize it's in position (if it even is in position) and doesn't actuate the stapler.

But that's seriously coming from off the cuff, I haven't opened the manual yet for this one.
I am often wrong. That's why I'm here.

Try unpluging and re-pluging the sensor (if you have cleaned it already and checked the actuator) I had it once doing the exact same thing and no blimming error code and sensor was happy to do I/O check all day long when manually pushing the stapler. I think it was just a bad conduction on contacts. If not, then swap with home position sensor to see if the fult moves with sensor. If it doesn't then try reflashing the firmware or swap boards.
