Konica C654e adn ScanStation scanning with TWAIN driver

I have to identical C654e Konicas. I have verified every setting possible between the two C654e (latest firmware, webpage settings, service mode settings) to verify they are set the same. I have 2 identical Scanstations, with the Konica RT TWAIN (v4.0.12200) driver loaded. Both machines scan and the eCopy workflows are the same between devices.

Here is my problem:

First scanstation you choose a workflow and it will take 16 seconds for the ADF on the Konica to start scanning pages. That is a really long time. The second Konica will only take 2 seconds to start scanning pages. Obviously, I have missed a setting or a check box...or something. I cannot find anything that will make a difference. I am stumped. Any ideas on why that scanning is taking so long?

Are both C654's used on the same PC or different PC's?
Do you get the same results on a single PC?

the easiest thing is to print the list output from both machines and compare the binary for all the bit switches. i just put one on top of the other and hold it up to a strong light.
you can then easily see a 1 or a 0 out of place as you scan the rows.
your answer may not be there but its a good start.
are the machines close enough you can swap data cables?
