[Error Code] C9901 tray 3 only

Hi , Im getting a C9901 error code from tray 3 only on a B654. It has the latest mfp controller firmware (34), All other trays work fine. It feeds 1 sheet then jams the next. The horizontal transport switch is good and I finally replace the tray 3 feed head assembly. Anyone have an idea as to what I'm missing?

Replace the clutch that drives the Horizontal Transport from Tray 3. Worked for me when I had same issue on a 552.

Your referring to the horizontal transport clutch. I replaced the tray 3 feed head which includes the tray 3 paper feed and tray 3 transport clutch. That may work.

Yes, the clutch that drives the Horizontal Transport Unit above tray 4.

Ok, I went back in and found that while replacing the tray 3 feed head assembly, I miss a pin on the connector. I reseated the plug and it runs fine. I thank you for your suggestion.
