    [Misc] C-1070 Fuser Belt Sheading

    Okay, I have a C-1070 that I have changed the fuser belt at least 4 times because it has ripped the belt. The first time I just replaced the belt and within about two weeks it pipped it again. So I replaced bearings and brackets for the belt. That lasted for quite some time. Well I was off for a vacation day and I got a call from another tech saying that it ripped it again. Has anybody had this problem? These belts are not very cheap. Just wondering?

      honestly, find a dealer that will work with you for warranty parts. all konicas in the US have a 3 year bumper to bumper warranty. you should get the belts for free.
      are you using the new style belt? was the firmware changed?
      this is for a wrapping issue but depending on the belt you order there are prerequisites outlined in this bulletin.

          Yes, we are a dealer. I never did try to order them under warranty. The belt that I am using is a pink colored belt. I dont know what the firmware is. I will check.
