Thanks tsbservice, I created a BootupScreen.bin that solved the problem for the moment but I'm still irritated that some time ago it worked through the softswitch settings as Synthohol suggested and now not.

Yeah I did read whole threat and understand your frustration, BUT don't let this get you down.
Instead ask customer's permission to use their logo picture, or whatever picture they thinking to like - KM saves threes, hugging bears, laughing babies, Al Bundy here we go again
, etc. For some reasons all customers love that individualization and who will blame them. For newer machines I went ahead and set them also Wallpapers if they wish. Eventually you will have more happy customers = no more irritations
