    BH-363, planets, PLANETS??

Got a BH-363 from a wholesaler. Instead of the Minolta Logo it is showing at starting up PLANETS!

Machine is otherwise working fine, but I don't want no stinking planets I want my good old Minolta logo back.

Any chance to change this please?

    CAUSE: Incorrect settings.

SOLUTION: To change the Configuration Page header to Konica Minolta bizhub, please perform the following:
    1. Access the Service Mode.
    2. Select System 2.
    3. Select Software Switch Setting.
    4. Enter Switch No. "10".
    5. Bin Assignment "00000000".
    6. Hex Assignment "02".
    7. Click on Fix.
    8. Click on End.
    9. Power the MFP OFF/ON.
    10. Print another Configuration Page. Page Header should now be changed to Konica Minolta.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
    The medication helps though...

Yea, I've had those planets before. It is the firmware version usually on the re-branded models.

I seem to recall the rocket launch, and planets on earlier models of Konica Minoltas. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

You are right blackcat, the rocket ship was from the really old Di-5510, etc.

Most of the time I have seen the planets on NEC branded machines.

What I have been seeing a lot lately is the customer or the dealer installing a custom logo on the startup screen.

Don't think I ever worked on the EP8010 but remember working on the EP6000 which I think was similar, I never saw the startup screen because I was always praying with my eyes closed that the machine would come up to ready

I am pretty sure that the NVRAM recovery caused planets a c650 I was working on a while back.

Remember the whale surfacing with the space shuttle launching in the background? Big ass Konica..6090 or something close to that. Ants were my favorite, I think it was a NVRAM mandatory change that removed those little critters. Emujo

on the old EP machines you had to replace the EEPROM, there was no NVRAM back then
later on, the animations were removed by firmware IIRC.

Did not find a solution for this so we took out the fax card and the machine will go to another customer not needing the fax option. Have to rebuild now one again for the previous customer. Sigh......

Well, this time same procedure with another machine but same firmware G00-D6 it didn't work strange enough. Stinking planets are still there.
                            Any ideas please?

I'm not sure for this model but you can change BootUp screen to picture you like with Boot Screen Converter.
