Does Minolta 7272 has printer controller in it or u have to buy it separately

Back when we used to service these I remember the printer controller was an additional device screwed onto the back of the machine with its own hard drive, and it had many problems of its own.
IT was not internal to the machine and was a very obvious hump on the back of the machine. up the top right.Comment
