    C350 error code C-0400

I cleaned the optics to try to help with scan quality, used 91% iso alcohol and a lint free cloth for the 3 mirrors and the lenses. I just got everything put back together and now all I get is error C-0400, cleared the error but it cycles through and comes back. The exposure lamp is still firing, it seems to be lining up with the white test strip on the original glass, but still the error persists. Oh, and it did work before I cleaned mirrors.

    Is it hazy?!
IPA will leave clean but hazy optics.
Try to wipe it with microfibre cloth. Polish it.
Have you blown air in the sensor / lens area?

    Byting on bits.
.OK Google! ... will I need Berrocca this morning?

If you removed the mirrors make sure you didn't reinstall upside down.

check the flat cable, (try reseating) thats the first suggestion in the manual.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
        The medication helps though...

Thanks guys. I went in to rewipe everything, still no good, so I went after the CCD. Once I did that I placed the shroud and such back in without screwing it down and it worked! I went back in and screwed it all down...and no joy...so that helped. I went through and loosened the two screws on the shroud around the lens and it fixed it!

Moral of the story is don't overtighten your screws...

Thanks for letting us know. Someone may search this in the future and it's always nice to see how the issue resolved.
