    KonicaMinolta machines, automatic duplex scanning?

    Customer wants to change to a full paperless office. He has two BH-C-280 but is intending to replace them both because now he wants that originals are being scanned both sides automatically and preferably that empty pages are automatically excluded.

    Which of the newer or latest bizhub color machines can do this?

      C368 with DF-704.
      standard with the 45 ppm and up.

          If you are looking for off lease the "4" series has 2 feeders DF-624 (single side) DF-701 (Dual scan). Many of the off lease models C224's, etc I buy have the dual scan feeder installed.

                  If I remember correctly when I was scanning some personal documents with a DF-701 in the shop it didn't recognize a blank document. If the originals were only one sided it didn't show the blank side when you looked at scans back at computer.

                  Maybe someone else will confirm.

                      blank page removal and duplex scanning can be turned on by default yes. Have plenty set that way.

                      Set the expectations though that its not fool proof, anything at all on that blank page and it wont be skipped.

                      On some 4 machines it doesn't even work at all unless the 2nd side automatic calibration is disabled.

                          I have a 224e with DF701 that will blank page delete every time on black, but not on auto or full color. Firmware is the latest (G00-K6). The blank side is clean white. Tried various DPI and text vs text/photo. no luck. It's late. I'm going to clean the optics tomorrow. Where is this "second side auto cal." you mention?

                              OK Found a bulletin at KMBS KBA01500855

                              SOLUTION: To set CCD Calibration Back Side to OFF, perform the following.


                              1. Press Menu.
                              2. Press Counter.
                              3. Select Display Keypad.
                              4. Press Stop "00" Stop "01".
                              5. Enter using the numeric keypad "9272" 4 times. Press END (MINE DOESN'T REQUIRE STEP 5)

                              6. Select System 2.
                              7. Select CCD Calibration.
                              8. Select Back Side and set to OFF.

                              After power cycling the copier, that fixed it!
