I was troubleshooting a 2804 error code on a C6500. Is there any advise for adjusting the drum potential sensor board? I see two potentiometers on the boards and have successfully fixed the issue in K but now the drum potential reading is off for Cyan.

the code is for the PGC sensor not the drum potential.

It's almost the same as this video, just make sure you clean all three sensors. You probably don't have to take out the assembly - just clean the sensors with the assembly in place.

Yes, I already cleaned those sensors. I was just checking the surface potential of the drums because after putting fresh developer in, K was still randomly low density. Drums are new too. Gamma correction would usually fix this but still weekly the black density would drop.
I then turned the one potentiometer on the sensor board and the drum potential went up to an acceptable level. Problem solved. I am just wondering what kind of problems I might make by adjusting the sensor boards. I cannot find any literature about proper adjustment, or if these are not to be touched at all and come adjusted from the factory. Thanks in advance.Comment

No they should never be touched.nor touch any screw with red paint on it.
There is an auto drum potential adjustment. If it still fails then you need a new drum or sensor.
I hope you didn't screw anything up.We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.

Just an update to those reading this thread. I was still getting intermittent low density on K that would cause the auto gamma to fail. I then noticed C and M density getting low. I put shims on the drum that hold the corona wires further away from the drum and problem solved. Density is good on all colors now.Comment

The C-2804 is fundamentally easy to handle.
This is how to replace the color resist assembly.
In the end, the PCG sensor in the color resist assembly does not work properly, causing certain colors to fade or an error code to be generated.
I manage two bizhub PRO C-6501s.
I tried the factory reset in service mode, or I tried to supply cmyk toner before adjusting the auto gamma.
After all, I could not do it all, but I replaced the color resist assembly and saw that the symptoms were being handled immediately.
A few months later, the C-2804 error no longer lights up, and both devices are no longer blurred with certain colors.Comment
