[Error Code] bizhub 652 shows error code C-4501 about 4 - 5 times a month

Hello,

a bizhub 652 shows regularly every few days, error-code C4501. After clearing the code, the machine runs completely normal for several days.

This procedure is repeated every few days. According to the service-manual there is a laser malfunktion.
Is it possible that the small sos-index-mirror in the unit is dirty?
This error I knew from earlier models, such as Konica 9028.

Best thing to do is pop a new laser in the machine, but you can try and clean the old laser and remove the polygon without touching the sides with your hands and apply a tiny bit of furniture polish on the hole for the air bearing and re-assemble like we used to on the old Konicas

IIRC there was a free of charge laser replacement program because they knew they had too many failures.
When I get home I'll see if I can find a bulletin.
O think it was the 2 series...
