I bought used C452 and FS527. When I assemble them together, it looks like FS 527 is not recognized and has no power. any suggestion on how to troubleshoot this? Do I need to activate this somehow in a software?

Plug the relay unit into the finisher, plug the finisher into the unit. It should be recognised. No need for activation, If you've plugged it in correctly, then check the finisher board connections, under the back cover.
