Most of the 4 series have scan to email issues and i know there is a firmware downgrade and upgrade
to fix this problem but cant remember all the software and steps.

As a rule always update to the latest available 'mass production' firmware.
Which 4 series models are you referring to, C224 or C224e ?Let us eat, drink, and be merry, because tomorrow we may die!
