Convert Biz C353 to a c253, hypothetically...

    Convert Biz C353 to a c253, hypothetically...

    Hypothetically, if you remove the MFP w/NVRAM, printer control, HDD, RAM & postage stamp size serial # board from a C253 and put them all into a C353 wouldn't the machine become a C253? I cannot think of what else would make the machine think otherwise. By the way only different part # between the two models is the MFP board. Looks like all other parts are same, of course the IU/toners are different because of the chips.

    Probably wondering why I'm asking this. Long story, will explain later.

      fusing exit cooling wiring harness is different between 203/253 and 353 as the 353 has 3 fans and the 203/253 only has 2.

      drive system wiring harness unique to ppm speed model. Why would they make 3 different versions of the same cable, perhaps this is one of the several secret ways the machine knows which version it is ?
