    C287 CYAN MAG LINES

Can any one help we have setup this machine and it has the lines of shame as they seem to be call by Minolta tecs.
we are mainly ricoh dealer but have started selling a few KM all seemed good up till now as we have a machine that
is putting lines cyn/mag across the page we have tried to rest up the copier following the install sheet with the copier
but cant get rid of the lines is there a reset to start again or are we missing something.
    we have set the following
turn copier on set date /time and zone in service mode
    programed doc feeder serial number.
the question is what are we missing as I have checked the service manual and it ha no info on running up the copier
    any advice welcome thanks

Sounds like classic "lines of shame" as you say.
Power cycle the machine & start again, follow the install sheet exactly.
I did have a c284 once that needed a data clear in service mode first then setup again from scratch for it to work but 99% of the time a step in the install guide was missed causing the lines.
Let us eat, drink, and be merry, because tomorrow we may die!

        You are missing one step..

Power on, set time/date in SM, install s/n of options, unit change. After this sequence is performed you can continue with any other settings you wish. Just to be sure, the "lines of shame" only show up on color copies/prints. They will not be seen on internal test prints. If you are seeing them on the "bird" printout you may have a separate issue.
