    [Misc] Konica Minolta c224e Cyan

Konica Minolta Bizhub C224e getting issue with cyan color - Replaced the developer and drum.

In Level History1 TCR Cyan Toner was 1.56 after replacing the developer.

Manually added toner couple of times and voltages went up to 6.45

Client complaint again after a week as copy/print got lighter again with cyan. Haven't visited the client yet. If the Cyan voltage has dropped again. what should we do?

    Any ideas.

    Thanks and Regards,

If the black drum has done more than its life, it can affect the cyan as they run of the same possessor, which will try to compensate for week drum surface and the result can be that it pulls the dev out of the cyan dev unit.

    cheers

We have had to replace toner hopper units on this series. Can't keep up with augering toner. Does the ends of the auger tubes have white caps on them??

remove or clean the bushing on the front of toner hopper; this is an issue with 224s

the bushing gets clogged and slows or stops preventing the correct toner being added

if its the overlife drum causing a problem the machine will dump the cyan dev

The warnings are irrelevant. The actual wear and the machine trying to self calibrate is an issue.
Worn drums require a voltage tweak and increasing toner density to compensate.
I'd change all 4 caps though. They were a huge problem in the past.l.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
            The medication helps though...

Yes it will work, but what happens is the machine just keeps going and it will adjust charge and Dev bios voltages to compensate for a worn out drum. We let the drums do an extra half life then we change them, this stops problems with the dev units.

but the other comments about the hopper jamming up also happens on this model.
