    Bizhub 654e

    External memory invalid error!!Tried Memory, firmware unhooking everything, HDD,etc Replaced SSD....and new firmware update.....all set

          must be formatted fat32.
          We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.

                      Maybe you have a C654e firmware on the usb instead of 654e.

                          Are you sure its not just a bizhub 654, they look identical to the 654e, even with the same control panel. Only difference is the mfp board.
