    bizhub c368 hdd question...

    quick question...
    I am replacing the hard drive in a bizhub c368 and am curious if I need to backup the settings to a usb before I replace the hdd or if I don't need to and can replace the hard drive and just perform the formatting procedure in the service manual...

      Always backup. Pretty sure you lose the address book and maybe user boxes

          100% yes.
          change bit sw 72 to hex 04 hit fix.
          in admin mode system settings 3rd page i think is external memory backup.
          export to USB just make a simple password like "1" and save.
          replace HDD and upon boot you are asked to format it, hit menu then utility and the option should be right there IIRC.
          only takes maybe 2 minutes then install movie data again in system2 2nd page install data.
          then reimport all the data you just saved.
          total time maybe 20-30 min you will be done.
          We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
          The medication helps though...
