    C500 Error Code 23-09

We have a C-500 with a error code 23-09. Toner motor issue. M18
We have cleaned out the Toner Collection Assembly. But still have the error code.
Should a firmware update be used for this? Special firmware (65lac112CMV0)
    Any other ideas?
    Thanks

You are correct. Sorry.M-18 is Transfer belt motor.
We have cleaned toner collection assembly and put back together. We have noticed no binding. Everything looks good after cleaning and putting back together.

The cleaning unit is clean. No hard toner. Turn by hand freely.

Check the drive gear on M18. They are plastic and if the toner tube got clogged at some point the gears might have stripped. Even if they look good they might be jumping. This will cause the toner to evacuate much slower and cause another backup.

                              Description
                              F23-10/SC23-10.
                              Solution
                              PROBABLE CAUSES:
1.The first transfer roller sensor (PS15) is detecting a malfunction in timing between the sensor and the transfer pressing/releasing motor (M19).
Check that all 4 transfer rollers (p/n 65AA26040 - Black, p/n 65AA26120 - colors) inside the transfer belt are seated properly in there respective front and rear
block holder assembles. Check the operation of M19 in the 47 mode, multimode 48, code 0, 2, and 3. Check PS15 in the 47 mode, multimode 48, code 0, 1,
                              2, and 3, for home position = 01; other than home position = 000.
                              2. The position of M19 is determined by PS15. If PS15 is out of place or faulty, M19 cannot find home position.
Note : When activated in 47 mode, M19 does not stop rotating.
                              Inspect PS15 (p/n 08AA 8551 2) and replace it if necessary.
