LDAP IC Card authentication on a C284e

Has anyone setup LDAP IC Card authentication on a 4e series?
The "server registration" option is missing in the PS Web Connection om my machine, any idea why?
    Firmware is updated
I have only done this on 7 & 8 series models Before.

turn on the feature to enable the rest of the options.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
    The medication helps though...

If I set LDAP-IC Card Authentication Setting "ON" the setting isn't saved, it will revert back to "OFF".

If you mean external server authentication, and external server is LDAP the answer is yes.

No I mean ldap in the email section.
Where you tell the ldap server name and the whole DC=x,DC=y stuff you have to enter.

In order for this to work you have to have a card reader LDD installed, and enabled in service mode. Your trying to tell the MFP to use an IC card to login. If you are not using a card reader then you need to look at LDAP settings within the network tab, enable it, then you can configure it for email search. This is NOT the same thing as MFP Authentication against and LDAP server. Emujo

I was able to set LDAP-IC Card Authentication Setting to "ON" from the operation panel, and then register the LDAP server in the PS Web Connection.
The card reader was installed and activated.
I have not set up LDAP search for e-mail address, that's not related to the user authentication.

I might be a browser problem, I did try IE11 and Chrome.

I have a similar problem with a bizhub 284e ; the IC Card driver was loaded, the IC Card was activated from service menu but the menu option called LDAP IC Card Authentication Setting menu is missing:

                  Thank you in advance.

Try to enable it via MFP control panel:

Thank you, but is gray (on the third menu page) - I can not enable it.

It's difficult to see in your picture but it looks like you have have selected "On(MFP)" in the general settings.
