    C452 squeak

    Hi all,
just a quick question about a very small squeak on a C452, when the printer is idle as in not printing but not in power save mode there is a very faint squeak. I've checked things like IUs fuser ITB but I don't think it's anything like that as the printer has gone idle so I thought it must be a fan but I've not been able to locate it. Any ideas?
    Thanks Paul.

Inductive heat fuser runs at idle. It's probably the fuser.

I would say probably fuser as well. These models always had fuser noise issues. Also you can try to clean and lube the plastic rollers on the door they can cause a noise like that also.

As the other poster wrote there were issues with several different models making a squeaking noise at idle. Not sure about this model but there were bulletins & modification parts to stop this. I know it was happening on every C451 I was servicing back when they first came out.
