Konica C220 paper setting for preprinted ink paper

    Hi all

I have a client who has just bought a Konica C220 and he’s having trouble using pre-printed paper from an ink press machine from his printers.

The supplier of the preprinted ink paper confirm it is suitable for laser printers.

Is there a setting or adjustment that can be made to lower the temperature of the fuser so the printer doesn’t re-melt the ink on the pre-printed paper?

They had a Sharp MX-2301 which did not give this problem...

You can place the pre-printed paper in bypass and then change the settings there. You can try a few different settings to see what works. Can't remember all the settings but think there is a setting for pre-printed, letterhead, thin, thick paper. I would try them all to see what works best.

You can change the temp settings in service mode but that will lock in temp for all paper drawers and may not be good for regular paper. If you set bypass setting it will only be for that tray and only feed from there when end user selects it.
