    Bizhub 500 --- Ineo 500 Bluescreen

Hi all, newbie to here but not to copiers,

I'm stuck with a bizhub 500 (aka ineo 500) with nothing but a blue-screen from switch-on. I've changed the system logic and main logic and the touch screen/keypad. Machine has done about 200,000.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

Did this happen after a firmware upgrade? You cannot go from phase1 to phase3 without loading the Boot20 first.

Hi Pepper, thanks for the pdf snippet.
No there was no attempt at firmware update. Did try that with the bluescreen but the machine will not update the firmware in this state.

The boards come from Konica with no firmware, you have to force flash them

NVRAM and OACB will cause bluescreen. If you have installed a new OACB, it is blank, and fimware will not load thru USB connection. You'll need to use a parallel connection with ISWTrans.

Thanks Lads, I'm going back out on monday. I'll try try the software reload through ISWTrans. I'll let you know the outcome.

                Hi Buster,

We installed a new OACB and assumed that since it was giving the same error as the one we had (blue screen) that it hadn't sorted out the problem.

So we whipped it back out an started trying other things.

We noticed when we went bck that the problem board did not have the data light on but the new board did as it had no firmware.

We reloaded the firmware and now all is Golden!!!!!

                Many Thanks!!!!!
