    c3100p toner missing

    I have a couple of c3100p printers that intermittently come up with the message. toner missing. It can be any one toner or two or more of them. The customers seem able to reset the message(not sure how) but it keeps coming back.The detect pins on the machines seem ok.Has anyone experienced this before?

                  Having a similiar error (customer and myself cant get rid of the message). Solution i came up with until i figure out whats the cause:
                  Put the Toner in another machine and print 5-10 Pages. After that, Toner works fine in the problematic machine.
                  Wasnt firmware, thats for sure. Maybe the board is fcked.

                      The G00-1800 firmware was released 4-15-2015 (or 15-4-2015 for you backwards folks). It's readily available in the firmware repository on Konica's service site. Be advised there have been 10 newer firmware versions released since that date, with the latest being on 3-24-2021 (24-3-2021).
                      A Ricoh Service Tech for 7 year. A Konica Minolta Service Tech for 7 years. Now, KM service manager for 4 years.
                      My Ricoh knowledge is slowly dwindling away at this point. Many things have been lost to time...

                          Remove the DC power supply and clean the spring contacts, use a scotchbrite pad lightly on them and the ends of the springs.
