KM C224 Non "E" Control Panel Question

    Hello !
Everybody knows that customers break the "flat cable" from Non "E" Series from KM C224/C284/C364/C454/554 Series...
I know that Konica Minolta have a firmware to put funcions of C224e Series on "NON E" Series ...
To prevent from break the screen I want to lock the screen and put keyboard on screen like C224e Series ...
Can anyone tell me what firmware version it is or simple switch a "DIP SWITCH" in CE MODE. I'm KM dealer soo have acess to firmware plataform.
    Thank you all.

I'm not sure what you mean by the flat cable breaking since we've never had that happen. From day one, we locked all the control panels to the left so the hard 10 keys were always visible (never even telling the customer that sliding it was an option). That way the customer can't even slide the control panel back and forth. To lock it, there is a place to put a screw on the back of the control panel.

Nice Ideia ... Never thought about that.
Any way If I could lock the screen in normal position and add the NUMPAD on screen like C224e it will be great.

Most of my customers with the NON-E C224 don't even know the display slides to the left with a keypad behind it!

C224e 시리즈와 같이 화면에 키보드를 배치합니다.

Also I've seen more Non-E machines locked in open position exposing hard keys than locked closed having to use digital keypad. I've never done it but the ones I've seen just had a self tapping screw on inside so it couldn't slide closed.

This only upgrades some of the network protocols. IE SMB V2..It does not allow you to start putting E series parts in..Ed

It only needs the firmware that makes the numeric keypad appear on the panel of the NON model And the same appears on the E models. I've seen this before but I don't remember the firmware. If I find out, I'll send you.

You need the "version up" fw, GBx-xx, as avecosat wrote.

I assume this is the same as with the bigger 4 series:

I believe this FW is actually on KM website for the public under drivers.

Also, do not try to go directly to the "e" FW. IF you do, you will need to use the special downgrade FW then go to the latest base FW and so on.... Big headache especially if you don't have access to Konica Confidential.
