    Konica 7135 black copies

    Hi

i have a konica 7135 and when i try to make a copy by putting the original on the glass it comes out black. But when i use the adf the copy comes out great.
I was thinking it might be the ccd or the scanner driver board.
    Please help.

your scanner is in the right place when using the RADF but something is knocking the mirrors out of place when they move out to scan the page on the platen. you know the ccd is working because it works with the RADF.
The force will be with you always.

hi.when you make copy by the feeder the ccd is fixed not moving.&when you put the original on the glass the ccd is moving to read the original .you can check the movement of the ccd by naked eye if it is correct movement or not.
thanks for all.i hope it is helpfull

The ccd is in a fixed position , the scanner or optics move, i would say check the movement of the mirror assembly from left to right, either they arent moving correctly or a mirror is out of place, good luck

I've seen the mirrors get out of alignment before, check the height on the rear of the mirror carriage.

thanks for the advise Luther. It looks like the mirrors are good for some reason I think it might be the ccd board or main board.
