C35 Not printing Yellow

Anyone here help me out?
I have a C35 that isnt printing yellow at all.
Unit does not have any errors. Everything looks good with the IU/Toner.

Where should I start first? I cant tell if its in the PU, HVPS, or maybe I have a bad IU.

Thoughts? Appreciated.

i would start with an IU. then the belt unit.

After IU check contacts from IU to HV board.
What is IU life anyway?

Had this before.
Broken part inside the transfer belt unit. The levers that puts pressure on the yellow transfer roller.
But sometimes will give a half print if one side is broken.
I have fixed it with glue before but not worth the time.
Just lift the belt and have a peek compare the yellow with the rest.

why do newbie techs ALWAYS look to boards first....
much like you car .. it will be better to diagnose the issue than heading straight to $$$$$ parts.
have you checked in SM the operation of parts?
are the supply lines clogged?

Because when I was going through it I found a broken trace because the PCB was cracked at the screw mount.
I fixed it.

Yep. surprisingly the SM for the C35 gives you more about issues with the scanner and fax machine than anything else.
Its pretty weak at best. not really helpful when most of the flowchart concludes with "replace printer"

Good catch on the broken trace..sorry if I knew that wouldn't have queried.

Last time I had an issue with one of those machines not printing a single colour, it was the drive coupling on the back wall which is spring loaded, it was stuck in and not engaging the IU drive.

I feel bad that you have to even touch one of these units. I realize this is by no means helpful, but with my experience it is better to scrap it a buy something else (anything else for that matter) before the machine causes you grey hairs as it has done to me. I will never get those years back. These machines are terrible. Best of luck with it.
