    C-360 indicates toner empty

C-360 indicates from time to time "Replace Toner Bottle M" (or WTTE) and inhibits further operation. Toner bottle is half full, the sub-hopper is also about 3/4 full. Opening and closing of the front door allows machine to continue.
The toner bottle lid opens when inserting, so toner should be able to pass into the sub-hopper. Since this happens occasionally it is hard to say if the toner bottle is not rotating when it should or if the sensor in the sub-hopper is failing to indicate the "full" level from time to time.

    Any experience or ideas please?

Looked at the theory behind it again.

Clockwise rotation of the toner motor YM will engage the M toner bottle thru a one-way clutch.
So if it is the bottle drive then it is not the motor otherwise Y would have done the same thing.
Could then be the one-way clutch slipping.
Could be that the magnet on the aluminum actuator could be stuck or the reed switch being intermittent.
Found developer stuck to the magnets on the color hoppers before! How it gets there remains a mystery
Don't think it would be the the YM hopper motor or clutches because that will starve the developer and probably give C-2553.

No clear quick fix here. Wonder what is easier to try first the hopper or the bottle drive?
    Whatever

Here's the extreme: I had a bizhub C452 a while back that coded C-2253 and would never stir the color developer. Step #6 after three days and changing a bunch of other things was the PRCB, which solved it.

Like allan says: There a lot of possibilities. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

It's sensor in Sub hopper assy being with too high sensitivity and wide detective range.
Replace Sub hopper or the sensor with the new type.
