    KM458 and 558 running Papercut C9401 and FA14

    Hi all

We currently have multiple new MFD's on various sites running Papercut displaying C9401 and FA14 errors. All machines running on W5 firmware. We have also rolled devices back to R9 to see if this would improve reliability but no such luck so all back running W5.

Any KM techs/specialists dealt with this issue and what settings were implemented to resolve?

    Thanks in advance

There is a special firmware dealing with "Papercut" issues.

I just installed 90 8 series on papercut ver 18.2. All using I-Option. and all devices at W5. I have not seen any of these issues and they work this system like a dog. What version are you using?

            Hi emujo2,

The site is running Papercut Ver: 18.3.6 with W5 firmware.

On another site we have version 18.2.2 running on W5 and we had to roll W5 back to R9 due to issues and moving forward on the site with 18.2.2 we are looking at rolling back Papercut to Ver 18.1.4.

            Regards

Thanks mo0651 I'll look into the firmware release notes and see if this is applicable for rolling out for issue.

C94-01 CODES are covered in the TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE FOR 8 Series. It did say c94-01 after firmware updates.

18.3.5 is the latest KM supported release..You didn't mention if you were using the I-Option..Any non standard config changes on the papercut devices? Are you using the function version matching type 3 driver for the secure release queue?

There is special firmware from Japan they just compiled for this exact issue.
It's not made public as our machines are the beta testers.
1 week and so far so good.
Once we are all satisfied this relieved the issues I'm sure they will make it public or at least available for download somehow.

                        Hang in there.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
                        The medication helps though...

other than the codes, is it removing papercut from itself?
                            that was another major symptom.
