    [Error Code] PRT/IR L-1 L-2 L-3 L-4 Bizhub C284

    Hello,

An enduser has a Konica Minolta Bizhub C284 which gives the following errorcode: PRT/IR L-1 L-2 L-3 L-4. We've tried to enter the service mode to reset this errorcode. I don't know for what reason but the normal service password doesn't work.

Can somebody please help us out? Is there a way to reset the service password?

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

    Kind regards,

    Marquee

The "L" codes mean all the drums have reached end of life. There is nothing to "reset" in service mode, new drums have a chip on them that reset the counters. There is a known issue with this machine that if you let the drums run way past their life they can short out crashing the developer unit(s). Developers cost $400-500 each for color units, $150 for black!

Ok, so if we replace the drum units for new ones (and the developers aren't cracked), you think the system will work properly again?

Did you try the "9" password 4 times? If not usually 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8
