C3110 Losing Sttings when turned off

We have a c3110 that when its turned off and then on again,
it asks to enter the date and time etc back in.

i know very little about these machines but presume there some battery that's gone bad somewhere?

Hi, if the plug is not disconnected, maybe the settings remain.


However it is a CR2032 battery that you find by removing the rear center cover.

I had the exact same issue, updating the fw did the trick.

However it didnt loose the network settings or address book literally only the date & time so not a big deal. Dont shut machine off at main switch use control panel sleep button.

I recall firmware patched this issue.
