    C224e staple message but no finisher ???

    C224e just delivered from wholesaler. Has a message "staple cannot be used" but has no finisher. It does look like a FS-533 inner finisher was removed.

    Anyway to get rid of that message? As a last resort I have a FS-534 I can attached to see if message goes away.

      I would check in service mode that this option serial number is cleared. Also may try trouble isolating finisher maybe.

          Fixed. Nothing worked so ended up connecting FS-534 and updating FW. All good now

              Good for you.
              Out of curiosity I would try at first FW update without finisher, just in case when there isn't finisher available.

                  Look in instalation manual, there's a sensor which is mounted on exit unit before mounting a relay unit.
                  Maybe it was left on main body when finisher is removed.
