7020 ribbon on main board

Does anyone have a secret to detaching the ribbon on the top of the main board. I've broken the plastic piece on the board before and now I'm gun shy.

The last possibility is glue it.

Next time press slowly and together with two fingers on both sides.

I know this thread is old but I just found the trick to the 7020 ribbon cable. disconnect from the top under the glass not at the board. The connector there is just like the 7145 and works much better.
