    658e prints completely black

    Hi, I have a bizhub 658e with 280k and it has started printing with white lines and a little dark. I use only OEM.
    As foreseen in the manual (300k) I have replaced: transfer belt, 2nd transfer roller, toner filter and drum.

    But something went wrong. The drum has some problem why because the printer prints the whole sheet completely black! By putting the old drum back, this does not happen. Maybe a new defective drum? As soon as I removed the drum, near the charge roller I saw it has a piece of broken plastic. I honestly don't know how to take these drums apart, so I think I'll try another new drum. Has this ever happened to you?​

      Bix, don't have such machine but if I were at your place will put another new drum into machine.
      Next at the shop when you have time rebuild drum unit with broken part with this part from original one drum.

          Not me but certainly plausable. =^..^=
          If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

                          I had this happen on a C558. Broken holder for the charge roller, from the factory. Had to RMA it and get a new drum.
                          Started in the copier service business in the fall of 1988 and worked at the same company for 33.5 years, becoming the senior tech in 2004 but left to pursue another career on 4/29/22.

                              Hi, yes I confirm.
                              A piece of white plastic from the charge roller was swept. I took a used drum and I replaced the piece. The only problem is the chip which does not reset but is not essential
