Konica 363 won't print from memory stick

A customer just called and said that his copier will not print from a memory stick. When he puts it in the right screen comes up on the copier but the choose print from external isn't highlighted and he's not able to choose it. Being he is almost 2 hours away he does not want to pay for us to come down and is just looking for some phone advice. This type of thing is definitely not my expertise and would appreciate any advice.

Can't really speak for Konica, but with the Ricoh machines you have to put the memory stick or SD card into the slot 1st, THEN hit the Print screen, and then everything works and is available as it should be. For whatever reason it doesn't like when you hit the print screen First, THEN put the memory stick in. That's the way we have found on Ricoh machines, but could be the answer for this issue too.

Maybe they have the "external device" slot disabled? Not that familiar with KM, so not sure how to check that or re-enable it.
Maybe the Memory device is too large?
Maybe the memory stick needs to be formatted a certain way?

USB memory stick should ALWAYS be formatted FAT32!!! Aside from that, there may be a security setting in admin mode which enables/disables.

It's not an issue with the drive..The MFP recognizes the drive, it just won't allow printing..This could be from..

            1. Non supported file type (it has to be PDF JPEG, Excel, TIFF) Word will not print from USB
            2. Authentication ON and user (or public user) not allowed to print from USB
            3. Authentication on and user (or public user) restricted from printing color and doc is color
            4. Admin has disabled USB printing
            5. Some other error occurred and device was factory reset or data cleared, softswitch setting has gotten messed up.

To enable Printing from USB external memory: Menu > Utility > Administrator Settings > password > OK > System Settings > User Box Settings > External Memory Function Settings > Print Document > ON/OFF > OK > Close x4.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
              1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
              3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
              4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
              5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
